Poor (1)
Professor: Keith Murnighan
Teaching Method: Lectures, Cases, Simulations
This class is an utter joke. Total waste of time. As much as I loved negotiations, I simply could not stand being in this class. I only took it since I had to save up points, and this went for 1. Professor Murnighan begins the class by making ludicrous statements such as “this class will be responsible for 10% of your wealth” and “this class has one of the highest value to cost ratios at Kellogg”….the only way this class would be responsible for 10% of my wealth is if I ended up being a used car salesman. A good professor is supposed to make complex concepts understandable. Murnighan tries to make common sense topics complicated. Every bargaining game exercise we did was a variation on how to split up a $100. I’m not kidding. The worst thing about this class was that it made me forget some of the useful concepts I learned in negotiations.
