It helped suppress any anxiety I had to make public speeches while teaching me many effective presentation structures. Professor Van Camp is an awesome teacher, full of energy and offering great insights throughout the class. Don’t be swayed by your classmates thinking that the Bain/McKinsey/BCG templates are the optimal methods to make presentations. This class teaches that less is more. Slides should be a backdrop for the verbal content of the presentation, and shouldn’t have so much content that the audience is so overwhelmed that they don’t have time to digest anything. Going through the weekly exercise of preparing for and making presentations greatly improved my presentation ability. Take this class! |
